The ATA Film and Video Festival is once again looking for some great experimental short films for their fourth annual edition that will run in October in San Francisco at the famed Artists Television Access space. This is one of the premiere short film festivals in North America, showing a terrific variety of avant-garde work from around the globe. Yeah, you know, “experimental,” “avant-garde,” “underground” — whatever you want to call it, festival co-curators Isabel Fondevila and Shae Green somehow manage to find the best of the best.

Dogs of Chinatown which I called “great, fast-paced gangster flick which leaves no time to dwell on any philosophical or moral ramifications, it just gets right to the ass-kicking point” in my review is getting a limited theatrical run in San Francisco with a limit of 200 seats per screenings which will be followed by a Q&A session hosted by the film’s stars, Eric Jacobus and Ray Carbonel. Now if only I could get these guys to send me their post apocalyptic and zombie flicks which have been in limbo for a while (hint hint). Here’s the details folks:

From Meet in the Lobby-

The action wraps around a few hours and a few hundred yards, and is so utterly back-and-forth confusing it just about laughs at the genre. If every time-travel movie has holes in it, why not drive a truck through them?
